When I arrived at the little house not too far from the actual wedding venue at the Clifton Inn in Charlottesville, VA, I knew this wedding was going to be gorgeous. The bride was relaxing in a studio chair having her hair finished and all around her were lovely bouquets of flowers for her bridesmaids and herself, the whiteness of the room completely emphasizing the simple and chic choices. The room was light and airy and so was the atmosphere of everyone there! So much love filled the room, and that’s always inspiring to me when I start photographing a wedding.
Everything from her lace detailed dress to the lovely color combinations in the ties and floral arrangements made me swoon. She has such wonderful taste and the love story of these two lovebirds is so sweet – they met in college, and it was love at first sight! I also loved the varying personalities at the wedding – there were so many goofballs and you will see it in the photos!
The bridesmaids wore little black dresses with olive green shawls to keep warm – it was freezing! But I love the look of the combination of green and black, the ladies look classy and chic. All the use of green kept the look of the entire evening fresh and elegant, without making it look like Christmastime.
Enjoy the gorgeousness that is this winter wedding – it happened the day before my birthday and I can’t think of a better way I could have spent my birthday weekend than with these two celebrating the start of a beautiful life together.
