DC Engagement Photographer – DC Wedding Photographer – Glowing Spring Engagement at Georgetown University and Neighborhood and Lincoln Memorial + Reflecting Pool
Alex and Nancy contacted me back in the fall about their gorgeous spring DC engagement session – who doesn’t love DC in the spring? Lots of people do, and it can be tricky navigating around all the tourists who flock from around the country and world to see the nation’s capital in it’s prettiest season wight he cherry blossoms in full swing. It’s just a really lovely time of year. Lucky for us – we were able to avoid major crowds, and when faced with the daunting task of the biggest groups at the Lincoln Memorial, we didn’t have a single unwanted person in a single photo!
These two lovebirds drove all the way from New York City for their session – they met at Georgetown University! So, it was pretty fitting that we started their session where their love began, and campus has never looked lovelier. Blooms were everywhere, and the sun was really shining something fierce (which is so nice to see after this crazy winter!). Alex and Nancy took me on a little tour of their favorite parts of campus and it was so fun to see some places where these two spent some time getting to know each other and spending the early parts of their relationship. They are adorable!
It’s hard not to pass up an opportunity to photograph an engagement session within the Georgetown neighborhood because it is just so gorgeous. Every block has it’s own character and every time I have an DC engagement it never looks the same in the Georgetown neighborhood because there are so many possibilities. With all the flowers everywhere (hello wisteria, my favorite!) we captured so many lovely, sweet shots!
With their session ending perfectly with the sun behind the Lincoln Memorial, we couldn’t have asked for a better way to end the day. Alex and Nancy were literally glowing walking along the aisle of the Lincoln Memorial and it was the perfect end note to a pretty fabulous day.
These two are getting married in Brooklyn, and I can’t wait for them to start their amazing future together!
