DC Tidal Basin and Monument Engagement Session

When they told me they were bringing pups to their engagement session, I died.  I love when couples include their furry friends in sessions, because they are important!  I love my little Lafayette more than anything, and I am so glad I document him as much as I do, especially in photos with myself.  These two were dying to have their dogs be in the spotlight too!

The weather in DC was a little chilly, but the snow here and there made it bearable. I’m ok with cold weather if snow is involved, it’s redeeming.  They had the perfect cold weather attire, with the best pops of color against the backdrops they chose. It couldn’t have been a better session (even if one of the dogs kept eating all our snow).

They light up when they look at each other, and you can just tell how much they mean to one another.  It was such a joy to spend the day seeing classic DC monuments with them and photographing their love.
