Fall Trump Winery Wedding – The perfect vineyard wedding to kick off fall wedding season in Charlottesville.
Lindsey and Steven are two of the coolest people I have ever met. You feel instantly at ease around them, and anyone who has as much sarcasm as I do is always the perfect couple for me. We got to explore Richmond together during their engagement session in the spring where I learned more about their wedding plans for they big day at Trump Winery (I can’t express how much I love this venue). Just knowing how fun Lindsey and Steven are plus all the unique and personal details they planned on having, I knew it was going to be a truly gorgeous and memorable day.
These two met playing dodgeball! Steven was the captain of the team and it’s safe to say that they hit it off pretty quickly (if you have ever met them, you immediately get it). It was fun to see the little dodgeball friends community at their wedding – it was a huge presence and there were even other couples that met each other the same way! Because of their love of wine, Lindsey and Steven knew that a vineyard was their dream venue and wanted to carry out a wine theme throughout the rest of the day. Their guest book was a wine barrel monogrammed with an F (so cool to have the featured in your future home!). They had a special wine box at the altar with them during the ceremony that they are going to put away for a year and open on their first wedding anniversary. Every guest got to leave with a monogramed wine glass too!
So many personal touches were made to really reflect Lindsey and Steven and their new future together. Steven made two wooden F wreaths on the barn doors, the F stain and date n the wine barrel top guest book, the etching on the wine glass favors, monogrammed drink stirrers, the welcome sign for the wedding, table numbers, signature cocktail signs, and thank you tags on the favors! He even home-brewed his own beer for their guests to enjoy.
One fun southern tradition they decided to partake in one month before the wedding consisted of burying a bottle of bourbon underneath the shade of the willow tree where they were going to have there ceremony. This is suppose to ward off rain (and it definitely worked!). Lindsey and Steven had really sweet tributes to their parents including using the same toasting flutes that Steven’s father and late mother used at their wedding. The cake cutting knife was the same one that Lindsey’s parents used at their own wedding.
This fall Trump Winery wedding was the perfect vineyard wedding to kick off the fall wedding season in Charlottesville. With the lovely yellow florals and Lindsey’s absolutely stunning dress, there were too many gorgeous details that were stunners. Enjoy this pretty wedding – it’s a new favorite!
