Richmond VA Wedding Photographer – Cobalt and Pink Main Street Station Wedding in Downtown Richmond, VA
After spending time with Nicole and Michael during their engagement session last fall, I knew their wedding would be nothing short of perfection – it definitely surpassed every expectation!
Nicole has wonderful taste – just check out that gorgeous dress that just flatters her completely! And those cobalt blue bridesmaid dresses, absolutely loving it. Nicole’s choice of something blue throughout the day really gave a little pop of color and cheer, and some components of this had a very cool origin. She actually handpicked and found all the blue glass centerpieces at various antique and thrift stores! It’s always so cool to see how personal the touches are, such a labor of love.
These two tied the knot in a gorgeous ceremony at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Afterwards, the bridal party (including me!) were in for a treat! We actually got to ride the charming green Richmond trolley all the way downtown on the highway to their reception venue Main Street Station. There’s nothing quite like being on a trolley on the highway with a wild bunch of happy people with speeding cars passing you by cheering for the lovebirds! It’s a memorable experience I won’t soon forget.
Downtown Richmond has so many charming areas for wedding and engagement photos, but when you are looking for something that has a really sophisticated and chic component, not to mention stunning view overlooking parts of the downtown area, you can’t go wrong with the capitol building. Nicole + Michael ended up with some stunning photos, as well as some pretty interesting gargoyle inspired groomsmen ones as well. Men can be inspired to start Pinterest trends too!
It was definitely a day full of love from family and friends, and you could tell every second that everyone was having so much fun and celebrating the marriage of Nicole and Michael. These two have such an amazing collection of people surrounding them – I hope you enjoy the images of their special day as much as I do!
