Meriwether Springs Vineyard Wedding – Charlottesville Wedding Photographer
When I met these two at Carter Mountain Orchard this past fall for their sweet little engagement session, you could just tell how special they are. They have such deep sentimental value for everything and it shines through in the simplest of ways – but I just love the way they look at each other!
Not only was Carter Mountain where we had their engagement session, but it’s also where he proposed! They definitely wanted those photos to be special, so I definitely knew their wedding would be no different. It was a gorgeous day (with some of the prettiest florals I have ever seen!) and what made it even more special is that these two now get to share a wedding anniversary with not just one set of parents, but BOTH their parents! Yes, both their parents got married on the same day just one year apart and these two wanted to be able to carry on the special tradition. It just shows how special family is to them!
Their venue was a pretty little vineyard tucked away on a nice estate with some pretty epic woods around it. We had a fairytale forest to work with! And these two planned an insanely gorgeous spring wedding from the colors to flowers to cake. This year I have been so excited to see all these bold yet still romantic color choices in florals and others. All the flowers in the little planters on the tables made it feel like a garden had been transported inside and with all the light streaming in – it was always full of a golden glow!
Mostly I loved that they had their dog Duke (they both went to JMU) and her family dog come to the wedding dressed in their finest bow ties. It was the sweetest addition they made, and Duke even cut in on a father daughter dance moment for a turn! Classic.
I absolutely adore these two and their wedding was such a gorgeous day to capture!
